Iran maestro to make ‘Azar’ music

Noted Iranian musician Karen Homayounfar is to compose music for Niki Karimi’s ‘Azar’.

Directed by Mohammad Hamzei, ‘Azar’ is at the final stages of production as Karen Homayounfar has recently started composing music for the film.

Born in 1969, Homayounfar spent six years learning the piano and music theory.

So far Karen Homayounfar has made music for more than 40 cinematic projects.

‘Azar’ is Iranian actress Niki Karimi’s second production after ‘Night Shift’. Niki Karimi has directed three other movies so far.

Niki Karimi, Hamidreza Azarang, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Hasti Mahdavi, Leila Zare, Maedeh Tahmasbi, Pejman Jamshidi and Houman Seyyedi are to star in the movie.

Born in 1971, Niki Karimi's interest in films and literature inspired her to become an actress at a very young age.

She has starred in many Iranian films and series and won several awards at national and international film festivals.
